I would like to introduce our Organization as Greenplumbers India a collaborative of Indian Plumbing Association (IPA) and International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials – India (IAPMO – I), is a national Training and accreditation program that assists plumbers and concerned professionals in understanding their role in environment and public health. The organization’s goal is to train and deploy a green army of thousands of plumbers and professionals to promote the benefits of water conservation and the reduction of Green house gas emissions. The focus is on Changing consumer and plumbing behavior through the use of energy efficiency and water saving technologies.

Greenplumbers India – was launched on February 5, 2010

The Greenplumbers India goal is nothing less than a complete culture change for the plumbing Industry.

 GreenPlumbers training programs are designed to assist students engineers plumbers and other concerned professionals in understanding their role in relation to Environmental & Public Health issues and to provide their customers with up –to-date information and advise on:

•          latest technology and energy saving appliances

•          practical appliances & installation knowledge

•          environmental impacts of plumbing services, appliances and household practices

•          consumer information

•          energy/water/cost savings (short term and long term cost comparisons and environmental benefits)

GreenPlumbers India has conducted the Train-the-Trainer workshops in India and certified many trainers as GreenPlumbers Accredited Trainers (GPATs) who

 will conduct the future workshops for 4 days( two successive weekends), in association with IPA chapters all across India.

 Eligibility

 All individuals, students, professionals, plumbers, engineers having passion towards environment and willingness to contribute towards sustainable development through Green Plumbing can attend this workshop.

Workshop Fee:

Each participant will pay workshop fee of Rs. 15,000 towards 4 days workshop training, assessment and certification. The fee also includes tea and lunch during the full day workshops. Individuals will also receive the Resource Materials such as handouts of each course, water and energy Audit Forms for both commercial and residential audits. Please draw the cheque in favour of IAPMO Plumbing Codes and Standards India Pvt. Ltd., Payable at Bengaluru.

Certificate and accreditation:

After successful completion of the workshop and passing the assessments at the end of each module, the individuals will receive a certificate “GreenPlumbers India Accredited Specialist” (GPIAS) jointly signed by GPI and IPA and a wallet card, valid for the period of 3 years.
