UASB Reactors : Research Scholar Seeks Sludge Samples - Chennai

I am a Research Scholar affiliated to the Anna University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. My work is based on UASB reactors. I need to obtain anaerobic sludge samples from UASB based reactors of industry if possible. I am looking for the incidence of some hydrolytic enzymesin such systems.
I am looking for industry contacts in and around Chennai. This would be a great help for my research if suitable contacts could be provided.

I doubt if there is any UASB unit nearby Chennai.
You can set up the laboratory scale model of UASB. For details you may write us.

Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) have executed number of treatment plants with in Chennai and also around Chennai.
Perhaps if you can meet the Executive Directors of CMWSSB and Tamilnadu Water Supply and Drainage Board (TWAD), they can certainly identify the location of a USAB plant close to your research institute for further research.
In addition to the above two institute M/s. VATECH Wabagh is located in Chennai and they have executed number of plants, they can also help in identifying a particular treatment plant. Dear B.Megaladevi,
You should contact the various breweries (manufacturers of beer) and distilleries which are scattered in and around Chennai. Each of them has a UASB type of effluent treatment plant to the best of my knowledge. (For e.g. Empee Distilleries, Mohan Breweries, etc).
