Dear Members,
I am thinking of starting a center for checking quality of water. Request you to enlighten me on the following:
1. Whether Training is available on testing of water as per IS 10500: 1991 Specifications
2. How much would be approximate cost to set up a lab for testing water as per IS 10500: 1991 Specifications.
3. Who are the major vendors for these lab equipments.
4. What is the minimum and desired qualification of a lab technician for this testing.

Dear Sir,
The water testing Lab. you are planning to set up must be equipped to test the physical, chemical and becteriological test of water . The lab. should be equipped to test the water at the site for the parameters like pH, Turbidity, Soluble Iron, Alkalinity, Acidity ,Dissolved oxygen as these parameters vary with time and has no meaning testing at the Laboratory.So field testing kits are also to be included while procuring the instruments.
