Water conservation by industry - A case study of WIPRO Limited - Bangalore

This presentation describes the work of WIPRO Limited, Bangalore in conserving water in its operations at its campus location in Bangalore.

The various initiatives taken up include setting up a monitoring and reporting system to keep track of the water usage, increasing the reverse osmosis plant efficiency, rainwater harvesting, treating sewage and reusing treated water and more.

As a result, the total per capita water consumption reduced and water availability increased significantly.

This work won the CII-GBC National Award (Within the Fence Category) for Excellence in Water Management in 2008.
