Arghyam has supported a Campaign for popularizing Rooftop Rainwater Harvesting (RWH) in a flood prone region in North Bihar. The second phase of the Abhiyan has been designed based on the experiences from the first phase.

Apart from propagating the temporary rainwater harvesting system as an alternative source of drinking water during floods and monsoon, the campaign will also develop a comprehensive local water management system based on the existing impact of recurring floods on land and water sources. It has targeted five Panchayats in the region for the campaign.  The project is still ongoing.
