I need rain fall data mandal wise month wise for the last 3 years in Andhra Pradesh
Sir,
I want rainfall data from 2002 to 2012 of Dehradun district, Uttarakhand
I wanted average rainfall details for 10 years, for all raingauge stations district wise. But I could not get it. I need suitable suggestion to get the rainfall particulars (10 Years Average) for all raingauge station for all district.
Rainfall data, if available free will be a great boon to the researchers. It will save lot of time and energy spent of reaching the concerned departments, archiving the data and procuring the same. A weekly data will be best used by the researchers.
Similar data is available free of cost in many other countries. Even if the data is available at a cost, it is necessary to ensure that the mode of payments should be easy and the response time of getting the data should be rapid.
Sachin
I would suggest that district data for monthly average rain fall be also put up for from the commencement of the 2009 monsoon. This along with the seasonal average would give a picutre of rainfall each month.
Seasonal averages do not give the full picture of how the rains were spread out which is critical for crops.
if this can be made available on wekly basis, then so much the better for the farmer/govt agencies who can quickly guage how the monsoon is faring on a real time basis and formulate action plans accordingly.
Regards
Jayan
